As the largest healthcare provider in Bass Coast, Bass Coast Health provides services including comprehensive primary care, acute care, aged care, community and home based health services to the people of Bass Coast.
Bass Coast Shire Council
Provides over 100 services to 28,000 residents, 13,500 non resident ratepayers and over three million visitors each year. Their services include everything from kerbside rubbish and recycling collection, maintenance of parks and gardens and roadwork’s to human services like home care, home maintenance and respite care.
Gippsland Southern Health Service
As the largest healthcare provider in South Gippsland, Gippsland Southern Health Service provides services including comprehensive primary care, acute care, aged care, community and home based health services to the people of South Gippsland.
Latrobe Community Health Service
Latrobe Community Health Service Limited is a major provider of primary health and support services across the Latrobe Valley and Gippsland.

Latrobe Regional Hospital
Latrobe Regional Hospital is Gippsland’s specialist referral and trauma centre located 150km east of Melbourne and is one of the region’s largest employers with more than 1600 staff. They are a purpose-build teaching hospital caring for a population of more than 250,000 people. Latrobe Regional Hospital has four operating theatres and specialises in general surgery, orthopaedic, opthamology, gynaecology and obstetrics as well as ear, nose and throat surgery and urology.
Primary Health Network (PHN)
Phn is part of a national network of 61 Medicare Locals set up by the Australian Government to coordinate primary health care delivery, tackle local health needs and fill identified service delivery gaps.
Phn aims to partner with all local primary health care providers supporting them to connect and share the information they need to responsively and effectively treat and manage individual patient’s conditions. This coordinated approach will also help to reduce the duplication of services and improve the quality and safety of health care delivery in Gippsland.
South Gippsland Hospital
South Gippsland Hospital is located in the small town of Foster at the gateway to Wilson’s Promontory, Corner Inlet and Waratah Bay.
The organisation, classified as a small rural health service, is an integrated hospital and community health service providing a broad range of acute and primary care services. It is closely associated with the Foster and Toora Medical Centres which provide the medical practitioner services.
South Gippsland Shire Council
South Gippsland Shire Council is located in South-Eastern Victoria, about 100 kilometres south-east of the Melbourne CBD.
Its major towns are Leongatha, Korumburra, Mirboo North and Foster. It has an area of 3,300 square kilometres with substantial coastal frontage.
